What is an iPhone camera?

The iPhone camera is a digital platform in the form of an app which enables users to take pictures and videos through an iPhone. As new models of iPhone's are created, the camera improves with aspects of usage. It is more common to take photos through an iPhone than a camera (DSLR/SLR) because the camera is embedded within the iPhone, so the device is used for many more things such as social media and networks. The iPhone is rather small and flat compared to a DSLR, which many people find more convenient and easier to use. The iPhone is able to almost as much as a DSLR, blurred backgrounds, focus, lighting, colour, filters and space are there to access as well as editing functions. Apps may be downloaded which further help with editing such as Lightroom. In a sense of functionality, an iPhone is easier to use than a DSLR/SLR because the photo can be taken and edited on the same device rather than having to import a photo from a camera to another device, (which is easy.)

What is a DSLR?

DSLR stands for Digital Single-Lens Reflex Camera. Essentially, a DSLR digital camera is the most popular and common type of camera. A DSLR is perfect for everyone, experts and beginners alike.

A DSLR camera provides the opportunity to change lenses, creating attachments for different lenses to use with different photo concepts, based off lighting, setting and a possible object being captured. A SLR camera has a fixed lens, which generally isn't interchangeable. Adobe Australia explains: "When light enters the camera lens of a digital SLR camera, a photographer sees their subject in the optical viewfinder via a reflection of that light from a mirror inside the camera body. When the photo is taken, the mirror swings out of the way and the light goes through to the digital image sensor, where the photo is captured on an SD card. (https://adobe.ly/3kRHJ8D)  The f-stop, also known as the aperture, changes the size of the lens, which impacts the amount of light filtered into the photo. Shutter speed is how fast the shutter closes which deciphers whether the photo is captured with blurry or frozen effects. If the speed is fast, the photo will be clear and small details will be captured and bought to life while the slower speed blurs movements.
